PacketSmart is No More
Cisco Broadsoft has announced the EOL (End-of-Life) and support for the PacketSmart™Monitoring device effective March 20, 2020. According to Cisco, PacketSmart™ services, hardware and associated portals are no longer be available or accessible after this date.
There are no plans to replace the on premise device in support of the BroadCloud services and no native offering in support of self-hosted BroadWorks providers.
The Reply Cloud Atlernative
A replacement alternative is offered by Reply Cloud (www.replycloud.io) that offers a Service Assurance platform utilizing an on premise device called a Reply Sidekick or our Desktop Agent for PC or MAC. LAN and IP phone monitoring, alerts, and analysis are bundled into the service as well as a WAN performance monitoring feature for providers who run OTT (over-the-top) as well as on MPLS circuits.
